John and Jane Dressen started Dressen Custom Trailers in their home garage.  As it continued to grow, they relocated the business to a few locations in Dell rapids, South Dakota.  In August of 1992 a new facility was built at its present location.  The company continued to grow through additions and additional buildings. 

On Frebruary 1, 2013 the Dressen's sold the company and started enjoying retired life.

The company is now known as Dell Rapids Custom Trailers with the product line called DCT.
